When performing moisture-proof maintenance on wooden floors, in addition to simply closing windows in a timely manner and frequent ventilation, there are two more professional methods:

1、 Do more waxing care.
Generally, wooden flooring companies recommend users to regularly wax and care after the wooden flooring is laid. Both solid wood flooring and composite flooring are suitable for waxing care. The first waxing can be done after half a month or one month of use of new wood flooring, and then every two weeks or one month. After 3-4 times, the residual moisture on the new wooden floor can be basically removed, thereby extending the lifespan of the floor.

There are three main points to pay attention to in the summer maintenance of wooden flooring: first, regularly maintain ventilation, breathability, and heat dissipation in the room; Secondly, the air conditioning at home should not be directed towards the floor. If the room feels dry, it can be humidified appropriately; When going out, the curtains should be closed to prevent direct sunlight from reaching the floor.

2、 Floor waterproofing
If water is accidentally leaked, even a small amount of tea should be wiped clean with a soft cloth in a timely manner to keep the floor dry. Long term neglect can even cause the floor to warp, crack, and rot. If problems such as mold, deterioration, warping, swelling, paint peeling, and color variation occur due to the moisture returning to the indoor cement floor (which is a common occurrence in the basement room), it is necessary to first solve the problem of moisture returning before renovating and replacing the floor.
